Black Seed Oil

(Top pic: The potion i.e. after mixing BSO and pure honey. Note the plastic spoon)
(Bot pic: BSO in the bottle and the unprocessesd BSO in the tiny plastic bag)

This is what my husband and I drank on alternate mornings before breakfast. Mix one teaspoon of Black Seed Oil and one teaspoon of pure honey in half a glass of water. Wait for about 15 mins and drink it. Always use a plastic spoon for this procedure... (sounds like I am about to do surgery... heheehe..) Never use other than plastic because it will decrease the honey's medicinal values, also you can dispose the spoon after each use.... (not necessary lah.... can wash it and use it again... hahahhaaa)

Anyway, I first drank this potion when I was performing Hajj with my husband in 2006. A student in Mecca introduced me to this Black Seed Oil. I read the pamphlet he gave me and among the benefits of consuming BSO, is reducing hair loss (my husband was definitely interested in this one, because he was slowwwwly loosing hair in the middle of his head!), increase libido (which we were both extremely interested in... hehehehee) and anti-aging (for the face of course... Method: Mix one teaspoon of BSO and one teaspoon of pure Olive Oil and rub it smoothly all over the face and neck (if you want to) before bedtime. Wash it off after an hour, and voila!! You have a clean face!! Hahhaaahaa....

After three years of consuming the potion, Alhamdullilah, my husband does not become bald.... his 'it' does not fail him.. we enjoy our moments together... and my face free of wrinkles... Thank You Allah.

BTW I could not get the BSO locally. I would have to buy it in Mecca. So, whenever any of my relatives or friends perform the Hajj and Umrah, they would help get it for me there. Alhamdullilah.

When 'it' can't go up...

I read a comment in the Sunday newspaper about husbands who can't get 'it' up. One wife wrote about her husband, who can't get his 'it' up, and she was happy about it, until she suddenly found out he was taking stimulants to bring 'it' up! And.... to perform not with her, but with other women!

Well, to the wife, when she knew about 'it' not going 'up', why didn't she helped her husband?? She should not have felt downright happy about it... Perhaps she does not need 'it' as much as before... But then, if marriage is for life, so is s**.

I have not encountered this problem yet, hopefully not, ever. But then, I ensure my husband takes honey with black seed oil mixed with water every morning before breakfast, his supplements i.e. multivitamins, ensure he does not drink iced water and his morning run at least 3 times a week.

Of course, I also make sure he does not stress himself.... heheheee. But most important is to pray for good health always... Ameen.

The studio unit

This is how the unit looks like. Darling hubby posing at the kitchenette area. Our unit on level 24... oops! Level 23A is located on the same floor as the hotel rooms in Maytower. So, when you stepped out of the elevator, there is a huge carpet on the otherwise bare white tiles, cosy chairs and table along the corridor and, potted plants too.

From Maytower, we could walk to Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman, Jalan Masjid India to do our shopping. Semua House and Sogo are just around the corner. Caps Square, a stone throw away... In fact, everything is so close.... You just need your two feet to get around the area.... or take the Putra to KLCC...

Maytower, Kuala Lumpur

View from my studio unit at Jalan Munshi Abdullah. Beautiful isn't it?? The Kuala Lumpur Tower can be seen from my unit towering above the other skyscrapers... But then, this awesome view will disappear once a new building across the road takes place. Hope it will not be so soon.... Please take your time Mr Developer....

My studio unit has a small kitchenette. Once furnished, I may rent it out. At the moment, we are having wardrobes and lightings installed. The unit is on the 24th floor, but, if you are in the elevator wanting to go up... you will not see level 24, instead it is 23A... and you will not see level 4 either.... something to do with Feng shui, I guess.

And... when I went to the mail room to retrieve my letters... there was no No.24 either.... My letter box No.23A-(my unit no.). BUT... in all our correspondence, the official address is Level 24, unit.... Strange, but true...

Now I am trying to figure out how to rent out my unit. Should I rent it monthly to one tenant, or rent it out on a daily basis for tourists and locals on holiday.... Hmmm..

Orange tree???

Yeah... hot mamas standing near an orange tree?? Actually, is it orange or lemon?? We think its lemon, because, the skin is not smooth like an orange should. But then, it is also rounded, whereas a lemon is.... well, a lemon!! Anyway.... whatever lah! Would like to pluck one, but then, the neighbour was not at home.. so cannot ask lah.. Maybe next time....

Toilet brush tree???

Just look at these flowers..... It sure look like a toilet brush does it not?? Heheehee... I found it by the roadside just outside Ayeshah's abode. I have not seen this tree anywhere in my hometown... Have to travel to Bentley to view this tree.... But then, once all the flowers starts to bloom... it would be a sight to behold... Will have to remind Ayeshah to take a picture then.

Our 28th Wedding Anniversary

(Sofiyah with the other children at Pantai Junior Club event)

Today is my 28th wedding anniversary. I am blessed with a wonderful husband and six adorable children. I love them all very much. But then, guess what?? My dear husband, as usual, forgot our anniversary. Typical of all husbands, I guess, is it not??

Anyway, when I sent an sms to my husband wishing him our anniversary, he called me immediately... and as usual, will never admit that he forgot our anniversary... Hahahaaha.. He suggested that I drive down to Port Dickson and meet him there for dinner. Hubby is now at our Farm and I am at Pantai Medical Centre with Sofiyah. Shes enjoying herself at this event organised by the Pantai Junior Club. They have a yoga exercise, followed by musical scarf, then lunch and now they are having win, lose or draw. Sofiyah is now 11 years old, so she will only have another year to be a member of this club.

Well, I am looking forward to meet hubby at Port Dickson tonight. Perhaps we might stay the night at one of the hotels by the beach... Hmmmmm... But then,

Banana Sweet Corn Muffin

Yessss..... muffins. These days if you attend a Malay wedding and received a goody bag, theres bound to be a muffin inside. Usually its chocolate muffin. Then, if you eat at Kenny Rogers, you get a huge muffin too. Anyway, heres a few muffin recipes which, again, I got it from a newspaper. Lets try it out... some... day.....

200g bananas, mashed
2 eggs lightly beaten
70ml low fat UHT milk
160g butter
100g soft brown sugar
50g castor sugar
1/4 tsp banana essence
1/2 tsp vanilla essence

Spoon mixture into the prepared paper cups until two-thirds full. Add 1-2 slices of banana on top of the batter. Bake for 25 minutes or until muffins are well risen, golden brown and cooked through.

Rice Cases

Rice cases?? What is it?? Well, it seems these are containers whereby it is used for a savouring filling. Meaning, maybe we could fill it with sambal ikan bilis, or epok-epok fillings... Well, would love to try it out though... perhaps..

3 cups cooked rice
1 egg
2 tbsp plain flour
1/2 tsp salt

Lightly grease the sides and base of tart moulds.

Mix egg and flour in a mixing bowl. Add rice and salt. Stir until well combined.

Using wet hands press the rice mixture evenly over the base and sides of the individual tart cases. Arrange them on a baking tray. Bake in preheated oven at 180 degrees C for 10-15 minutes or until golden and firm to the touch. Carefully remove the rice cases from the tart moulds while still warm and leave aside to cool completely.

Blueberry Cheesecake

Hmmmm.... cheese cake, I love it!! Usually if I crave for some cheese cake, I would buy it at Secret Recipe or Bakers Cottage. But then, again, I found this recipe in a newspaper. So perhaps, I would try it out.... someday..... heheheeehe

Cake base
180g plain flour
95g self-raising flour
70g castor sugar
110g butter
1 egg
2 1/2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp grated lemon rind

110g fresh blueberries
180g blueberry filling
100g fresh cream, whipped

Lightly grease base and sides of a 23cm loose-bottomed cake tin.

Sieve plain flour and self-raising flour together into a mixing bowl and add sugar. Rub in butter and add egg, lemon juice and rind. Mix into a dough. Wrap with cling film wrap and refrigerator for 20 minutes. Roll out dough and line the base and sides of prepared cake tin. Prick the base lightly with a fork. Bake in preheated oven at 200 degrees C for 10-15 minutes.

Beat cream cheese and sugar until light and creamy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add yoghurt and fresh blueberries. Turn out filling mixture onto the prebaked base. Bake in preheated oven at 180 degrees C for 40-45 minutes or until set.

Remove from oven and leave to cool completely. Chill cheesecake well. Top with blueberry filling and pipe whipped cream over the top to decorate.

Fried Chicken ala KFC

My children love to eat fried chicken. Usually I will just mix the chicken (cut into pieces) with tumeric powder and salt, and some curry leaves. Marinate for about 20 mins and deep fry. But then, I saw this recipe from a newspaper. So, I might try this out too.

1 Kg chicken drumsticks and wings

Seasoning (A) (combined)
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp pepper
100ml UHT milk

Ingredients (B)
200g plain flour, sifted
3/4 tsp baking powder
3/4tsp bicarbonate of soda
3/4 tsp chicken stock granules
1/2 tsp garlic salt
3/4 tsp dried oregano
3/4 tsp dried parsley
3/4 tsp dried thyme
1/2 tsp ground black pepper

Put combined seasoning (A) in a mixing bowl. Add clean chicken drumsticks and wings. Toss well and allow to marinate for at least an hour in the refrigerator.

Put combined ingredients (B) into a small plastic bag. Shake well then pour into a large mixing bowl. Drain off excess liquid from the marinated chicken then dip the pieces into the combined flour mixture. Press the pieces one by one or until each one is well coated with the flour mixture. Shake off excess flour and arrange them neatly in a plastic container. Close tightly and refrigerate for at least 25-30 minutes.

heat enough oil in a wok or any electric deep-fryer until oil is medium hot. Place in the chicken pieces a few at a time. Deep-fry until golden brown and the skin is crisp.

Meet Boroi, another stud at my farm

This is Boroi... Isnt he Enormous??? He is also like Simon, huge but gentle. Need not fear them both. But Boroi is much older.

Simon the Stud

This is Simon the stud. Imagine his head getting caught between the railings at my farm. He is so huge, yet so gentle. He is, however, slightly smaller than Boroi, another stud in my farm.

Simon oh Simon...

I was at the farm yesterday morning (August 3) to do headcount of my livestock. Simon's head was caught between the railing bars, so my workers had to saw off Simon's head!!! No lah.... I told my workers to saw off a bar and free Simon.

But then, how the hell did Simon d Stud, got into that situation?? He was feasting his eyes on the cows in the next paddock and thought that he is small enough to go within the bars... Poor Simon, he must have tried it during the night, because my workers found him in that situation when they came in the morning to feed the cattle.

So, while waiting for the workers to saw off the bar, Simon had to be 'spoon fed' because he could not reach the hay in the bucket below. Hahaahaaa.... Serves him right for being so 'gatal'. Well, he was the 2nd winner in the stud category at last year's MAHA in Negeri Sembilan.

Kangaroo in the City

Hot mamas off to the city.... Me, Norehan, Datin Yun, Datin Aini n Datin Aida waiting at the bus stop for the ride to the city on Sunday 25 July 2010.

We got down at St Georges Terrace and pose for pictures with the kangaroos... of course, these kangaroos are just statues.... Hard Rock Statues!!!! Hahhaaaaha... But then

Curtin University, Bentley

The above pictures are part of the Curtin University's ground. The bottom picture shows the university's library. Its a huge library, 6 stories high. The main cafeteria at Curtin serves halal food. So, no problem for Ayeshah to have her meal there. I had white rice with fried fish and vegetables when we had our lunch during our first visit.

I really love the scenery as shown in the above pictures. Perhaps once the new semester begins, we could see students lounging themselves on the grass underneath the canopy of leafy trees.... Ahhh... so wonderful... I could not do that when I was there, because it was raining all the time.... Perhaps next time, during summer... But then
