Ramadan Day Nineteen

I woke up for Sahoor  this morning feeling lousy yet I did solat Tahajjud as usual.  I cooked fried rice for hubby and our children.  As for me I had hot Milo and one piece of Kurma Miriami.

Today is Khatam Quran at BTHO.  So I drove from home at 8.15am and reached Puan Ros's abode 8.30am.  She gave me the Jubah and tudung to wear during the Khatam.  Puan Sabtuyah helped me put on the coloured tudung. ☺

Ustaz Mohd Faisal (the Imam Satu of Masjid BTHO) arrived soon after and the ceremony began at 9am. Followed by a short Tazkirah and then the presentation of Gifts to all participants. Alhamdullillah.

I then  rushed to fetch Sofiyah at school. When we reached home I took a short nap.

There were only hubby, kak ngah, and myself for Iftar.  Only hubby went for solat Teraweeh at the Masjid Sg Jelok.  Kak Ngah then sent me to Klinik Kita after we had our solat Eshaq.

The good doctor prescribed antibiotics and flu medicine for my ailment. Will begin taking the medicine during sahoor tomorrow morning In shaa Allah.

We then fetched Sofiyah at her tuition centre.

Pray to Allah SWT that I recover and get well soon. Amiinn.

Ramadan Day Fifteen

Today hubby and I went to Tmn Tun for Iftar and Teraweeh at hubby's boss residence. 😆

We went after sending Sofiyah to her tuition centre. Wahid still in Ipoh. Hmmm....so his on leave today.  When I called him he told me he would be home tonight.

When I attended Tadarrus this morning...again no pictures....well maybe Chief not in the mood. But she did mention that from tomorrow we need to pack the door gifts for our Khatam Quran Friday.

Traffic was heavy on our way to Tmn Tun.  But we reached about ten minutes late.  The event has yet to begin.

Alhamdullillah after reciting Surah Yaasin, Iftar, Solat Maghrib.....we continued our dinner.

Then solat Eshaq followed with Teraweeh.  The Imam did twenty rakaats Teraweeh.  Alhamdullillah. First time since the first night of Teraweeh. ☺

Then our host gave a wonderful speech for his lovely wife since it was her birthday too. 😊

We were given door gifts and each of us received a copy of the Noble Quran.  Alhamdullillah I could begin reciting this gift since I already Khatam yesterday (took me five months!).

Ramadan Day Twelve

Kak Ngah wanted to eat the Masjid Kg Baru bubur lambuk.  So Wahid got one for her since the Masjid is just across the road from his workplace.  When we ate it during iftar, it was delicious.

This morning I did attend Tadarrus. I was late again. Well....better late than never.... Well our Chief did not take any pictures...so nothing to show lah...

Tadarrus to be continued Monday, In shaa Allah.

Ramadan Day Eleven

For Iftar my children sent pictures of the food they ate.  Badruzzaman and Maisarah had Chicken Rice.  Kak Ngah had fried something sonething whilst Sofiyah had rice with fish.

Three sets of dishes eaten three different ways.....Badruzzaman ala restaurant....kak ngah ala Tapau...and Sofiyah ala Talam..(Sunnah) at her Tuition Centre. Alhamdullillah.

Well today I attended Tadarrus. Late again. Overslept. So sorry ladies. 😩

Many of the ladies turn up. Alhamdullillah. Completed another two Juzuks.

Ramadan Day Nine

Today is Wahid's 22nd Birthday. So when he woke up for Sahoor this morning I wished him Happy Birthday and gave him a big hug. So did Sofiyah. There were only three of us.  Hubby was at Slim River.  He should be back in time for Iftar today, In shaa Allah.

After sending Sofiyah to school and did the laundry I took a short nap. But then it became a long nap when I suddenly awoke and it was almost ten o'clock.  So I rushed to BTHO for Tadarrus.  Alhamdullillah managed to read three pages of the Noble Quran beginning Juzuk Fourteen.

I steamed the frozen paus which kak ngah gave for our Iftar.  Hope its tasty.

Hubby arrived home in time for Iftar. Alhamdullillah. Then as usual for solat Teraweeh we went to Masjid Uniten.  This time hubby took a picture of Sofiyah and me wearing our Telekung Made in Bali. 😆😆😆

When we reached home I informed hubby we will celebrate Wahid's birthday together with my birthday two weeks from now, In shaa Allah.

Ramadhan Day Five

This morning again I had to drive Sofiyah to her tuition class.  I was already late for my Tadarrus group.  Luckily I read my watsapp whilst at the red lights (its a no no reading watsapp whilst driving, but ok what...stop at traffic light lor..) and found that Ustaz will only arrive at 9am. 😮

So I need not rush and could cruise to BTHO. 😎

Alhamdullillah I reached BTHO on time but Ustaz already arrived lah.  Ustaz lead us for one juzuk and then left because he's on duty during solat Jumaat at Masjid BTHO. Pn Ros then lead us.  Alhamdullillah we have completed ten juzuks of the Noble Quran on fifth day Ramadhan.

During Iftar our son Badruzzaman and his wife Maisara joined us. So did Khairulzaman who arrived on time from his uni for Iftar. Wahid had his Iftar with his friends.

We had our solat Teraweeh at Masjid Uniten.  After solat hubby cheekily took a pboto of Sofiyah and I wearing the telekung from Bali. Heheehe.....😁

Ramadan Day Four

During sahoor this morning there were only three of us. Wahid, Sofiyah and I. I did not continue 😴😴😴 after solat Fajr just in case I overslept and missed my Tadarrus.

So after sending Sofiyah to tuition class I drove to BTHO. There were only five ladies present when I reached Puan Ros's abode.  Since ustaz could not come again today we decided to begin Tadarrus.

Alhamdullillah we managed to cover two Juzuks by 11am. I then drove to fetch Sofiyah but had to wait for her instead since I arrived early.

When we reached home and checked our postbox there was a large white envelope from Habib Jewels.  Besides the usual Habib Jewels Brochure, there were these beautiful Raya packets. But there were only five pieces. 😎

Darling hubby arrived home safely about an hour before Iftar. Alhamdullillah.

When we wanted to go to Masjid Uniten for Solat Teraweeh, Sofiyah joined us too. She too wore the telekung from Bali first time tonight. ☺☺☺

Ramadan Day Three

Sofiyah missed her tuition class this morning. Overslept. I should have woke her up before I left for Tadarrus.

Anyway, this morning again I parked Mercs around the area before the junction to Puan Ros's abode.  There was a vacant space right beside the guard house. Syukur.

Puan Ros lead us during Tadarrus since Ustaz could not come.  She could read the Noble Quran very well and understood Tajweed as well.

After Tadarrus I drove home to fetch Sofiyah since she wanted to do Raya shopping.  So we went to Bangi Central.  I am proud to say all the boutiques here are Bumiputras.  Syabas.

Perhaps for this Raya the trend is more to Jubah clothing than baju kurungs.  Luckily Sofiyah managed to purchase two pieces of baju kurungs.  Still, she needs to alter them to fit her skinny frame. 😉

Then Sofiyah wanted to go to this Sisters outlet and she bought a few gurly items. The owner took our photos and said she will instagram it.

After sending her new baju kurungs for alteration we left for home.  While walking to Mercs parked by the roadside, we noticed the Al Hijrah crew giving away free Bubur Lambok sponsored by Pak Etam catering.  We received the bubur lambok in two small plastic containers). Alhamdullillah.

During Iftar there were just three of us, Wahid,Sofiyah and I.  Hubby was in Slim River.

Ramadan Day Two

This morning I took a quick nap before rushing for Tadarrus at BTHO. When I peek from our bedroom window, hubby's car was not at our porch.  Either hubby already left for work or he sent Sofiyah tuition.

He caught me by surprise when there he was reading NST at the dining table. 😚😚😚

Well, he probably came home from sending Sofiyah tuition when I was in the bathroom.

Anyway....found my touch-n-go card in Wahid's car (after searching high and low over the weekend).  I forgot to retrieve it after driving Wahid's car last Wednesday when I took abah to see the Doc at HTJ Sban (Eye Clinic).

Fearing I may have difficulty parking Mercs at Pn Ros's abode, I parked Mercs under a tree about seventy steps from her house.

Ustaz already began Tadarrus when I arrived.  Today there were seventeen BTHO ladies reciting the Noble Quran.  Each of us read two pages beginning Juzuk Three.  After finishing Juzuk Four, Tadarrus was adjourned.

Sofiyah was already waiting for me when I reached her tuition centre.  I told her to wait in the car while I paid her tuition fees in the office.  It was very embarassing when I pressed the wrong doorbell which was the Senseh shop instead of the tuition centre. 😛😛😛

Well as usual I cooked mee hoon soup (compulsory Iftar dishfor hubby) only available during the fasting month....😆😆😆

Then after solat Maghrib we got ready for solat Eshaq and Teraweeh at Masjid Uniten.  Darling hubby wore his brand new jubah and Wahid took our picture, hubby in his jubah and me in my telekung Made in Bali. ❤❤❤

Ramadan Day One

Alhamdullillah woke up for our pre dawn meal (sahoor). There were only dear hubby, sons Khairulzaman and Wahiduzzaman.  Sofiyah had to miss her first day Ramadan.

Today was Wahid's first day at work with Kampung Bahru Islamic Medical Centre.  He is on contract for a year In shaa Allah.  He does not drive but rode the motorcycle which his Sabahan friend left at our abode, of course with the owner's permission.

I saw him off before I too left for Tadarrus at BTHO.  The class was suppose to start at 8am.  I reached Puan Ruslah's abode at 7.55am.  Puan Ruslah aka Ros is our Tadarrus group's Chief.  She is also our Zumba Chief.  Alhamdullillah she was the one who encouraged me to join her Al Quran classes and then Tadarrus during Ramadan.

Our Tadarrus began at almost 9am.  The Imam Satu of Masjid BTHO Ustaz Mohammad Faizal guided us.  Today there were about ten of us.  Alhamdullillah.  We managed to complete two Juzuks of the Noble Quran.  Tadarrus ended around 11.45am.

I then rushed to fetch Sofiyah at her tuition centre.  She was already waiting for me.  We drove home safely.  Since I did not sleep after sahoor this morning I was exhausted and groggy.  So I took a nap and woke up at 2.30pm.

After solat zuhor I was about to prepare for Iftar when the door bell rang.  It was Michael who came to repair our faulty auto gate.  Alhamdullillah the gate is now working automatically. ☺☺☺

Khairulzaman brought two of his uni roomates for Iftar.  Alhamdullillah Muhammad Baihaqqi from Melaka and Ismail from Jelebu N9 joined us for Iftar.

After solat Maghrib where hubby was the Imam we went to Masjid Uniten for our Teraweeh prayers. Alhamdullillah.

Kelas Mengaji @ BTHO

Tomorrow I will be following hubby to Slim River, thus I could not attend Kelas Mengaji at BTHO. So I joined Monday's group at Puan Sharifah's abode at BTHO.

I went after fetching Sofiyah from school. Again I used WAzE for the journey to the venue.  Alhamdulillah arrived safely but Ustaz already arrived.  I apologised for being late.

After everyone read the Noble Quran, there was no Tajweed lesson because Ustaz has to attend to a funeral and left early.

When I reached home and was about to send Sofiyah to her tuition class, Wahid called to say he would send Sofiyah since he had reached Kajang from Dr Tan's clinic in KL.

Sofiyah broke her fast at her tuition centre whilst hubby and I broke ours at home.  Kak Ngah came after work and would stay with us until Wednesday since her husband was outstation.

Kelas Mengaji di BTHO

My Zumba group Chief at BTHO invited me to join their Quranic classes scheduled three times a week i.e. Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.  I need to choose only  any one day.  So I decided to join Wednesdays.

Then I remembered that I have to take abah to KK Ampangan for his follow up with the Doc there Wedneday.  So I rang Chief and she told me I could come Tuesday instead.

Wahiduzzaman helped me set up Waze so that I could reach the venue faster since I was unfamiliar at BTHO.

Alhamdullillah I reached the venue safely but a little late. Chief welcomed me warmly and introduced me to the Ustaz and the other ladies present.

Since I was new, I was the last to read the Noble Quran.  Ustaz Mohammad Faisal Mohammad Noor is the Imam Satu at Masjid BTHO. Ustaz then told me to begin reading from Surah Al Fatihah.  Then on to Surah Albaqarah until ayat sixteen. Alhamdullillah.

Ustaz then introduced me to everyone and encouraged me to tell everyone re my background.  When I told them I learnt the Noble Quran from various Ustaz(s) and aslo ustazah(s), Ustaz Mohd Faisal said he knew most of the Ustaz(s) I mentioned. Ustaz Mohd Fazri (Imam Masjid Kajang) Ustaz Abdullah Bukhairi (UIA) Ustaz Zulkhairi (UIA) Ustaz Mohd Khair (UIA).  Alhamdullillah.

But the one person who taught me reading the Muqaddam and then the Noble Quran as well as learning to do Solat five times daily was 'Wak Taib'.  I was just six years old then.  I remembered never calling him 'Ustaz', just Wak Taib.

Wak Taib would be sitting cross-legged against the balcony wall and we, his students from six years old onwards, would take our turn to read the Muqaddam.  He has this thin long bamboo cane (rotan) where he tied rubber bands at its tip.  He never use the rotan to cane us if we read wrongly, instead he would point the rotan tip at our lips and we could feel the rubber bands brushing our lips as he pulled the rotan away. Yuks!  I think that was why we learnt reading the Muqaddam faster. I remembered every time he did that to me, I would quickly wipe my lips and ensured I did not make any more mistake.

After completing reading the Muqaddam, Wak Taib then taught me reading the Noble Quran.  But it was a long process because I have to spell the ayat Quran first before reading it.

Under Wak Taib's tutelage I khatam the Noble Quran when I was eight years old. Alhamdullillah.
