Mutiara Taman Negara

We had our breakfast at the hotel's restaurant.  There was no buffet so we were served a set breakfast of Nasi Lemak, kuehs and fruits with either coffee or tea.  We ate our breakfast on the patio and had a commanding view of the lush green surroundings and also the swimming pool and a tennis court.

As we left the restaurant, I finally got a chance to view the motorbike with the add-on 'umbrella' which was parked at the staffs' parking lot.

We finally left the hotel and head home.  Hubby decided not to follow PLUS so we took the village road to Jerantut.  When we passed the Galeri Mat Kilau, we drove in but was disappointed when it was closed (although it was only 12.20pm) from 12.30 to 2.30pm. If only the galeri caretaker abide the visiting time and not knock off for lunch ten minutes early.  Afterall the museum is not huge. We could definitely cover it within ten minutes.  [http://www.sinarharian.com.my/mobile/edisi/pahang/galeri-mat-kilau-bakal-jadi-tarikan-baharu-1.444739]

Then when I saw the Taman Negara Kuala Tahan signboard before the junction to Taman Negara, I was hoping that hubby would bring me there.  Come on lah laling....please please please....take me to Taman Negara. Thus it is Allah's will that laling took the right turn and Taman Negara, hither I come! Alhamdulillah.

When we arrived at Kuala Tahan town, laling went to the Masjid for Friday prayers whilst I walked to the riverside and was amazed at the numerous budget accommodations available . I also met a few foreign tourists and had small chat with them. Some have stayed here for more than a week.  They are not young but elderly tourists who told me they enjoyed their stay here tremendously.  Really??? Wanted to ask more but we were chatting in the hot sun so we bade farewell.

I met a couple all the way from Shah Alam.  They just returned from their river adventure.  They went canopy walking, visiting  an orang asli settlement and hiking until they reached the waterfall and enjoyed their swim there.  No wonder their clothes were wet.  I thought they had fallen into the river.

Finally found a shed where I sat and drank my now almost empty tupperware bottle. Felt myself sweating beneath my jubah. Laling then called and asked where I was.  Told him at the shed near the car park.

When hubby arrived, we then had lunch at the Family Restaurant, one of the few floating restaurants available.  This restaurant was highly recommended by the couple from the Netherlands (the couple who stayed for more than a week now).

This restaurant has both local and western menus.  No wonder lah got so many foreign tourists. Laling of course chose the Ikan Patin masak Tempoyak. If in Pahang must eat their Ikan Patin tempoyak.  To die for? No lah....

After lunch laling called Mutiara Taman Negara Resort asking for accommodation, if any.  My heart jumped with joy but sank when laling said lets go look for other accommodation. There goes Taman Negara....

But laling was just kidding me.  When we reached our car, laling unloaded our bags at the jetty and told me to wait him there whilst he parked our car.  Yes! Yesssssssss!!! Love you Love you ❤❤❤😁

We then took the boat to ferry us across the river to Mutiara Taman Negara Resort. The trip RM1 one way per person. At the resort's jetty we had to climb the stairs, whilst, our bags, thankfully, were put onto the buggy which was then pullied up to the resort. Otherwise pengsan to carry our bags up the stairs although we are both fit as a fiddle?

We finally checked into our chalet No.11.  Whilst waiting for our bags at the chalet, it rained, heavily.  I was in our room when laling called and said we have an uninvited guest.  I came out and there was this cute Kuang bird perching on the balcony's wooden rail. Hello bird...

Then whilst laling was having his nap, I went out and surveyed the resort's ground and also to register with the Taman Negara Rangers for my jungle trekking tomorrow. In shaa Allah.  RM1 each for entrance and RM5 for camera/camera phone.

Laling then joined me when I was about to reach the furthest chalet at this resort.  Alhamdulillah.

Date with Darling @Le Meridian Putrajaya

Its been a month and three days since I had Bells Palsy.  Alhamdullillah after doing physiotherapy everyday and also acupuncture three times a week, the left side of my face is getting much better and returning to normal too.

Yesterday after sending Sofiyah to her tuition centre I drove to Le Meridian Putrajaya and check in after making my booking via internet. I got a room on the seventh floor. Room 705.

I then waited for hubby.  Hubby told me to while my time at the IOI Mall next door instead of waiting in our hotel room.  But I preferred to wait in our room and enjoy the view via the room's huge glass windows.

When hubby finally arrived after Maghrib we had our dinner at Fish Manhattan at the mall.  Alhamdullillah.

An Evening at Menara Teluk Intan

Khairulzaman was in Teluk Intan undergoing his Physiotherapy practical training at the Hospital Besar Teluk Intan.

He met us at the hotel we stayed The Grand Court Teluk Intan.  He then drove hubby and I for dinner at a seafood restaurant near the riverside.

After dinner we lepak at the reclining tower ala Pisa known as Menara Teluk Intan.  It was brightly lit with coloured lights on all levels.  Awesome.

We spent almost an hour there because hubby was not happy with his new camera phone which refused to 'flash' when he clicked to take a shot. Hahahaa.....

Dating with Hubby

I could not sleep well last night because my body were itchy and I was scratching all over.  Then when I woke up for solat fajr I found rashes on my body.....reddish and very very itcy.

So after sending hubby to KPJ for his follow-up appointment with his orthopaedic surgeon I went to Kelinik Dr Karim re my rashes.  Dr Aireena attended to me and she gave me an injection plus medicines for my rashes.  In shaa Allah I will recover.

I was having toast and two eggs sunny side up for my breakfast when hubby called to fetch him at KPJ.  So I left my breakfast and drove to KPJ.  Hubby was already waiting at the lobby. Alhamdulillah his Doctor said hubby is recovering well but needs to continue physio for another month.

Hubby then left for work but not before he asked me whether I would like to accompany him at Slim River.  I said of course I would love too..... in fact I have already packed my bag for a night stay when situations like this came spur at the moment.....yeyy yeyyy yeyyyyy....

So after fetching Sofiyah at school and arranged with Wahid to send Sofiyah for her tuition class in the evening I got ready for my journey to Slim River. Yahoooooo!!!

I called KTM to enquire re ETS schedule to Slim River. There are still tickets to Slim River at 5.30pm.  Therefore I need to be at KL Central latest 5pm.  So I need to leave home latest 3.30pm to catch the train to KL Central from Kajang KTM Station.

When I told Kak Ngah the taxi fare from home to KTM cost RM16 (so darn expensive for a five minutes journey) she offered to send me to the station.  I reached KTM at 4pm bought the ticket to KL Central and waited for the train.

The train arrived sharp at 4.20pm and reached KL Central at 4.50pm.     I then went to the KTM inter-city ticket counter to purchase a ticket to Slim River. My queue number 2016. There were five passengers ahead of me and the time was already 5.00pm.  By the time it was my turn it was already 5.10pm. The fare was RM23.00 for a one and a half hour journey.

The train will leave 5.30pm sharp and I have not solat Asar. I only have about fifteen minutes before departure.  I decided to do my solat on board.

I then went to Gate B for boarding.  Surprise! Surprise! After I got seated at Coach E Seat 5B I heard over the intercom that a Musollah is available at Coach C.  Alhamdullillah.

Suddenly the phone rang and it was hubby calling.  He was still at his office in Shah Alam and I was already on my way to Slim River. Hehee..... So hubby told me to check into the hotel once I reached Slim River and to wait him there.

I then made my way to Coach C and found the Musollah beside the buffet counter.  The Musollah is for both Male and Female who wants to perform solat.  So one have to wait for one's turn because the Musollah can only accommodate two persons.  Telekung and prayer mats are available too.  There is also a Qiblat Compass attached to the wall in the Musollah.

There is also an area for wudhuk. Be careful because you need to balance yourself since the train is moving all the time. Then when I solat I did it sitting on the floor.  I tried to stand up but difficult to balance myself. Alhamdullillah I completed my solat Asar on a moving train.

When I finally reached Slim River there were only three passengers embarking including yours truly.  I enquired from a brother where I could hire a taxi and he directed me to the bus terminal which was about 100 metres from the train station.

On my way there I asked another guy and he told me to look for the pasar malam area near the terminal.  When I saw two guys walking with plastic bags (tapau-ed food) I realised I was almost there.  So I aporoached them (a father and son) and asked where I could get a taxi.  They told me no taxis at this hour. A bus? No have also.  Aiyaaaaa....

Then I asked them how far is Hotel Summit Signature. They said not far.  Then when I thanked them and wanted to walk there, the father offered to drive me there.  I refused because I did not want to trouble them. But father and son insisted because the hotel is about 1km from the terminal.  1km kacang to me lah bro....no problemo to walk there lah bro....

So I obliged and when I reached the hotel and wanted to pay them. They both refused.  So I thanked them and when I alighted from their car, I saw hubby's car at the parking lot. What!!! Hubby must have been driving at breakneck speed.  Fuyoooo....

I approached hubby and he was surprised that we both reached the hotel simultaneously. He said he was faster than the train. Ek eleh.....

We had our dinner at a tomyam restaurant after our jamaq and qasar prayers at the hotel.
