PNM 2016

Last year I missed PNM 2015 because I ran the Stanchart 10km the following morning. So this year I decided to run PNM 10km and registered together with hubby (5km) and our son-in-law Aminuddin (10km).

Today is exactly three months since I had Bells Palsy. But Alhamdullillah I have since recovered.  But I still go for acupuncture once a week.

Kak ngah and Amin fetched me at my abode 6.30m.  It was raining heavily when they arrived.  Amin's sister Yana too came along. But then the 10km run is at 8.40pm. So hopefully the rain will stop by then.

But I felt anxious when as we drove to Putrajaya it was still raining cats and dogs. We parked at the open parking lots near Masjid Tengku Mizan aka Masjid Besi.  We then had our solat Maghrib.

There was quite a crowd too. Mostly PNM runners performing their solat Maghrib, Alhamdullillah.

After solat we walked to the venue at Perbadanan Putrajaya. Alhamdullillah it was now drizzling.  We met hubby near the water station and took pictures together. Hubby will only run at 9pm.

On our way to the starting pen, we saw a runner wearing Star Wars costume.  So we took pictures with him too.  Kak ngah told us later that he ran in the 5km event.

Amin and I ran at 8.40pm. The rain had stopped and as we ran I told Amin not to wait for me but to go ahead and run.  But Amin insisted that we run together.

The route was quite easy.  The only ascending was the flyover.  There were two. Just before the first flyover Amin stopped at the first water station and since there was quite a crowd there I told Amin I would continue running and he can catch up with me later.

I ran slowly up the flyover and was finding it funny when it was very dark (no street lights) halfway up and then down the flyover. Gives me the creeps too.  Suddenly thinking of pontianak too. What if the runner infront of me turn around and got sharp fangs with hair covering half her face....😲😲😲

I was relived when there was street lights again and before reaching the second flyover I saw more Star Wars soldier, Ultraman, and the cute Pickachu too.  A few runners took pictures with these costumed volunteers.

Then at the second water station when the volunteers called out that 100 Plus drinks were available  I grab one too.  Hehee......I was thirsty and also needed a booster.

I was running slowly another two kilometre to Finish when I heard Amin called me.  I thought he was way infront of me or perhaps reached Finish.  I was indeed surprise to find him behind me.

He said he was looking for me and when he could not locate me he turned around and ran back to where he last saw me. Poor Amin.

So we ran to Finish together.  Amin said our time is better than the Stanchart time.  Syukur.

Kak Ngah and Yana were waiting for us at the Finish line.  They informed us hubby too have completed his 5km run. Alhamdullillah.

After resting and taking pictures we drove to Ayza Kajang and had Milo Tarik.

SPM - Third Day

When hubby sent Sofiyah to school this morning she was wearing the white and light blue school uniform. She said she wanted to 'feel' wearing the uniform. Hehehe....

Then when I fetched her after school she requested that I took pictures of her posing in the uniform.  Sofiyah....my Sofiyah....you are sooo sweet dear.

Sushi and Cucu

Kak Ngah took Sofiyah and I to IOI Mall Putrajaya for lunch. We had Japanese cuisine at Zen.

Since there was a long queue, I went window shopping whilst Kak Ngah and Sofiyah queued.

I went to almost all the Sports boutique looking for a black long sleeve jersey and unfortunately I could not find any.

When I joined kak Ngah and Sofiyah they were already seated at the table waitng for their orders.  It was quite a long wait. When kak ngah enquired the delay at the cashier counter after our lunch, the cashier replied they were short staffed.

We then drove to Badruzzaman's abode to meet my grandson Muhammad Zavian. He was fast asleep when we arrived.

I was impressed when Badruzzaman bathe his son in the bathroom.  Hubby never did that when our children were at that age.....hehehe....

Nature Walk Sunday Morning

It was a wet Sunday morning when kak ngah and Amin fetched Sofiyah and I for our trip to Eco Park Bukit Nanas. Hubby could not join us today, perhaps next time.

The pictures here said it all.  Love the canopy walk most of all. The jungle trail were slippery because of heavy rain last night, but then there are concrete foot paths all the way to the top of Bukit Nanas.

Bus Ride Home

Mercs still at the workshop so dear hubby drove me to Tung Shin Hospital for my acupuncture treatment. Hubby dropped me at the entrance and I had to walk up the hill towards the Chinese Medicine building. No problem for me because I was wearing my running shoes.

When I enquired from Dr Cheow re the brown spot below my left eye, she said skin pigmentation. She said No problem she can get rid of it....and she did. Wahhh...like this I want her to do the other pigmentation too. 😁😁😁

After acupuncture, I left Tung Shin hospital and walked to Pudu Central.  The terminal was surprisingly clean and air cond too.  A far cry when it was known as Puduraya in the 80s and I was commuting Seremban/Kuala Lumpur five days a week for almost two years when I was working with MTC and then MMC.

When I could not find the platform for the bus to Kajang I asked the lady security guard and she pointed to where the buses are located.  She even gave me the bus number. Thank you lady guard.

Then I walked across the road to where I saw buses parked near McD.  So this is bus depot is known as KL Hub. I then boarded Rapid Bus No.540 to Kajang.

My last bus ride was in Perth when I was there with Kak Ngah for her convocation ceremony.

The route to Kajang was via Jalan Cheras.  I reached Kajang about forty minutes later and walked home from KPMC. Alhamdullillah.

Bell's Palsy - 1mth 8 Days

This morning after hubby left for work, I drove to Tung Shin Hospital for my tenth Acupuncture treatment with Dr Cheow Bee Li.

But then I went to Din Auto first before proceeding to Tung Shin Hospital.  Encik Din himself attended to Mercs.  Mercs has exceeded her mileage and due for servicing soon.  Encik Din helped checked the Engine Oil and since it needs topping up, he filled it up for me using the engine oil balance in its bottle. Synthium I think....

He then wished me on a safe journey to KL. Was he being sarcastic?

But then the journey to Tung Shin was smooth with no jam whatsoever. Alhamdullillah.

This time I need not wait long for Dr Cheow to treat me.  Number of needles used? Twenty four. But not all on my face lah......twenty four needles total on my right knee, my left face, left arm and left leg. After twenty minutes, the needles were removed by the nurse. Alhamdullillah.

I took the Sungai Besi highway since I wanted to visit my grandson at Bangi. I also wanted to deliver baby booties (which my mak knitted for kak long when she was a baby) for Muhammad Zawian to use. None of the coloured booties have faded for the last thirty two years. Alhamdullillah.  In shaa Allah, can also be use for my future cucus and cicits...😆😆😆
