Larian Obor Kuala Lumpur 2017 - Hulu Langat

Wahid took leave today so that he could send me to the venue for the Larian Obor Kuala Lumpur 2017. We fetched his friend who will be taking pictures during my run.

We took the Hulu Langat road to get to Ampang. The briefing was held at the Bangunan Umno Jln Ampang.  I am torch runner No.13, Group No.2.

The weather since this morning was cloudy and I hoped it stayed that way. 

I was having my solat zohor at the surau on the first floor when it rained heavily. Alhamdulillah. Thus the weather would be cooler and comfortable when the Obor Run began at Kg Bukit Sungai Puteh.

From the Umno Building the runners were taken by bus to the starting point.  Wahid and his friend will drive to the second checkpoint to wait for my turn in the Larian Obor Daerah Hulu Langat.

Alhamdullillah both of then managed to take pictures and videos of my Larian Obor.

I also made new friends amongst the Hulu Langat Obor Runners. 😁😁😁

 This Obor Run Kuala Lumpur 2017 is a chance in my lifetime. I am honoured and proud to be chosen this time around. In shaa Allah sixteen to twenty years from now when my cucus watch the next SEA Games in Kuala Lumpur they can proudly say...Our Nekliz too ran the Obor Run Kuala Lumpur 2017. 🤗🤗🤗

Wedding and Larian Obor KL 2017

My pet sis Hjh Zahridah and I attended our neighbour, Hjh Shelina's daughter's akad nikah ceremony at a Villa near Tasek Titiwangsa this morning. 

Then we drove to Jalan Bukit Belacan to look for Kg Bukit Sg Puteh, the venue for my Larian Obor Kuala Lumpur 2017 Starting point. The weather was terribly hot that I told sis not to get out of the car to take my picture. 🙄

Then in the evening hubby and I attended his exclassmate's daughter's wedding reception at The Loft KL Central. 

Amongst the distinguished guests is the primadona, ever beautiful Sarimah. She acted in two of my favourite P Ramlee's movies, the legendary Ali Baba Bujang Lapok and Ibu Mertuaku.

I took the opportunity to have my picture taken with her. 😚😚😚

Larian Obor SEA Games 2017 (Forms)

Last Monday I called KBSN Selangor and they informed me to wait for an email from their Secretariat re the Torch Run. Alhamdulillah I received the email this morning.

Kak Ngah promised to print the attached forms for me to fill in and return the forms to KBSN Selangor soonest, In shaa Allah.

Larian Obor SEA Games 2017

When I woke up this morning and checked my mobile phone there was a missed call from an unfamiliar number. Then when the phone rang from that number a second time I answered quickly.

When the caller said she was calling from KBSN Selangor I could feel my heart missing a beat. She informed me that I was chosen for the SEA Games 2017 Torch Bearer Run. I was speechless at first...then it struck me..that was when I began to jump with joy....yeyyyyyyyy....💃💃💃💃💃
Alhamdulillah.

Hubby was with me when I got the call and he heard and saw everything I did.... I thought he would congratulate me..but alas...he was not happy with the news. Hubby said the date for the torch run which is 3rd August is hardly a week before our Hajj flight on 9th August. My heart sank when he was not so encouraging....😔😔😔

After hubby left our chalet for his meeting with his staff, I called my pet sister Kak Zahridah and told her my good news. Kak Zahridah was very supportive.  She congratulated me and advice me to talk to hubby and seek his blessing too. 🤔🤔🤔

Then when I watsapp the good news to my Supermum group, they too congratulated me and they teased me to 'pujuk' hubby to say YES for my torch run. 😎😎😎

When hubby returned to our chalet we then drove to the Ramadan Bazar at Sg Besar and bought food for Iftar with our children at home.

We then bought ikan bilis mata biru and salted fish at our regular supplier at Kuala Selangor before our journey home to Kajang.🚘
