All our children except kak long and family had iftar at our home. Then after solat maghrib they gave me a surprise birthday cake for my 59th birthday. My birthday is due in five days time, In shaa Allah on third Raya day.
They wanted to celebrate it today because Badruzzaman is leaving for Muar with his family to celebrate Eid Mubarak with his in-laws.
My dear children thank you for the lovely presents and birthday wishes. Ummi loves all of you strong and for always. 😚😚😚
Last Monday I called KBSN Selangor and they informed me to wait for an email from their Secretariat re the Torch Run. Alhamdulillah I received the email this morning.
Kak Ngah promised to print the attached forms for me to fill in and return the forms to KBSN Selangor soonest, In shaa Allah.
Hubby and I joined our neighbours at the surau adjacent to our homestay for Iftar and Teraweeh prayers.
The ladies brought along home cooked dishes. There were a variety of local dishes, simple yet very tasty. Alhamdullillah.
We had our last Tadabbur class today instead of Thursday because Ustaz is leaving for Jakarta hence to his kampong for the long Raya holidays.
Only four of us came today. The other ladies could not make it since they have prior engagements.
In shaa Allah classes will resume once Ustaz return from Jakarta.
Alhamdullillah all my children, except for Kak Long and Badruzzaman and their families, came to Surau Rumah Rakyat Pedas for Iftar and giving monetary donations to orphans, single mothers and the underprivileged from around Pedas village.
After solat Maghrib we all went to Rumah Liza to rest and then proceeded to the surau adjacent to Rumah Liza for Teraweeh prayers. Alhamdullillah.
Hubby lighted the pelita buluh which he designed and we had fun taking pictures and playing fireworks too...✨✨✨
When I woke up this morning and checked my mobile phone there was a missed call from an unfamiliar number. Then when the phone rang from that number a second time I answered quickly.
When the caller said she was calling from KBSN Selangor I could feel my heart missing a beat. She informed me that I was chosen for the SEA Games 2017 Torch Bearer Run. I was speechless at first...then it struck me..that was when I began to jump with joy....yeyyyyyyyy....💃💃💃💃💃
Alhamdulillah.
Hubby was with me when I got the call and he heard and saw everything I did.... I thought he would congratulate me..but alas...he was not happy with the news. Hubby said the date for the torch run which is 3rd August is hardly a week before our Hajj flight on 9th August. My heart sank when he was not so encouraging....😔😔😔
After hubby left our chalet for his meeting with his staff, I called my pet sister Kak Zahridah and told her my good news. Kak Zahridah was very supportive. She congratulated me and advice me to talk to hubby and seek his blessing too. 🤔🤔🤔
Then when I watsapp the good news to my Supermum group, they too congratulated me and they teased me to 'pujuk' hubby to say YES for my torch run. 😎😎😎
When hubby returned to our chalet we then drove to the Ramadan Bazar at Sg Besar and bought food for Iftar with our children at home.
We then bought ikan bilis mata biru and salted fish at our regular supplier at Kuala Selangor before our journey home to Kajang.🚘
Hubby and I had our Iftar at De Muara Resort. We bought our food at the Ramadan Bazar Sg Panjang. Alhamdullillah.
We then had our Teraweeh prayers at the Masjid in Sungei Besar.
Wahid cuts his mini birthday cake during sahoor this morning since he came home very late last night from the hospital. There were only hubby, Khairul and I to share the birthday cake. 😁😁😁
