Iftar and Teraweeh at Slim River

(View of the Ramadan Bazaar from Room 402. I managed to buy Nasi Ayam Madu for the hotel's Muslim staff for their iftar. As for me, I bought nasi kerabu (all time favourite) and a few kuihs too.  Nasi Kerabu is for my iftar. The kuihs are for after Teraweeh.)

(Iftar with sisters at Masjid Sultan Idris Shah II, Slim River.  There is also a Masjid with the same name in Ipoh  Here the Iftar is served buffet.)

(My nasi kerabu. Also three pieces of Ajwa dates. Alhamdulillah)

(These kuihs I took from the buffet table.  Two pieces epok-epok and a sambal doughnut)

(The prayer hall, waiting for Teraweeh to begin)

(Sisters also waiting for Teraweeh to start)

(It rained the whole day and night too.)

Iftar at Masjid Makmuriah Sungai Besar

We arrived Sungai Besar and checked into Hotel Kompit before proceeding to Masjid Makmuriah for our Iftar and Teraweeh prayers. Alhamdulillah.

I forgot to take a picture during Iftar with the other ladies here.  Iftar was served the old fashion way, ie. tudung sajis were used to cover the food served on dulangs.  No buffet here.  So, four ladies to each dulang.  Since I bought Nasi Ambeng at the Bazar Ramadan in Sungai Besar town, I shared the Nasi Ambeng with the other ladies too. Alhamdulillah.

After solat Maghrib, when I need to take ablution again, I was very impressed with the cleanliness and stench free ladies toilet and also the ablution area.  Kudos to the AJK Masjid Makmuriah.

We returned to the hotel after Teraweeh and had our supper in our room.  We ate the kuihs which I bought at the bazar in Sungai Besar, Alhamdulillah.

(Hubby took this selfie and here is the plastic blue tudung saji and the food served in the dulang)

(if hungry in the middle of the night can find this vending machine at the Lobby, Kompit Hotel)

Iftar at Masjid Sultan Idris Shah II, Slim River

I followed hubby to Slim River after I left the hospital.  Well, the surgery was just a small one.  No pain more when I walked.  So, jalan-jalan lah....hehehe...

We left after solat Zuhur.  It was raining when we left Kajang.  During the journey, I slept from Shah Alam on wards.  Then hubby woke me up when we arrived at a Masjid just before reaching Tanjong Malim. We had our solat Asar there.  I also received a packet of bubur lambuk at the Masjid. Alhamdulillah.

Then we went to Pekan Behrang bazaar Ramadan to buy food for iftar.  I bought nasi kerabu, one of my favourite dishes and also traditional kuehs.  I hope the pulut panggang and lepat pisang, also the epok2 gergasi will be delicious too.  Hubby bought this kuih tepung putih which he had never eaten before. I was curious too re its taste.  Well, have to wait till iftar.

When we arrived at Summit Signature Hotel in Slim River, it was already 6pm. So we got ready for Maghrib and Iftar.  Hubby suggested we have Iftar at the Masjid Slim River, Maghrib and also Eshaq and Teraweeh prayers.  In shaa Allah.

At the Masjid, I joined the Muslimah group for Iftar.  There were about forty of us.  Since I brought my own food for Iftar, I did not queue at the buffet table.  But I did choose to take two pieces of kuih burger bom (mini bun sandwich stuffed with sambal tumis ikan bilis) after everyone has taken theirs.

Alhamdulillah after Iftar, then solat Maghrib, I read the Noble Quran continuing from where I left off. Alhamdulillah I managed to complete Juzuk 6. After solat Eshaq and Teraweeh (we did only eight rakaats plus three Witir) we returned to the hotel.

Hubby finally ate the kuih tepung putih,  He said it was sedap (delicious) but the inti kelapa too sikit. Hehehee.... He said sure tangan orang tuo buat ni...

I finally slept at 11.30pm.  Exhausted but happy.  Alhamdulillah.

Hubby? He was still on his handphone. Hahahaaa.......

My Right Toe Nail

It was after solat Witir at Masjid Uniten last night, when I was adjusting my right foot to sit properly, that I suddenly felt a sharp pain on my right toe nail. It lasted for a few seconds.  So I just ignored it.

Then when I arrived home, I took off my socks and took a look at my toe nail.  Nothing abnormal so I went to the kitchen and have mee hoon soup.  Always hungry after Teraweeh. Hehehe....

When I woke up for Sahoor this morning, and was removing my socks (I slept with socks on) to go to the bathroom, that I felt that sharp pain again.  So I removed the socks slowly.  Then took another look at my toe nail.  But this time I touched it and.....Subhanallah....the toe nail was coming off.  I could flip it open.  So takut.....

I then took a video and post it to my family wassap group since everyone was still asleep.  Then after sahoor, no one asked about my toe nail.  Well, I guess they have not seen the video.  Never mind lah. Do not want to worry everyone.

As usual after solat Fajr and reading the Noble Quran, I went back to sleep.  When I woke up, there was nobody at home.  Then I called KPJ Kajang to see Dr Surendra Masilamoney (orthopaedic surgeon) but his nurse informed me to get a GL from our panel clinic.

At the panel clinic, the doctor said she could remove the nail for me.  But I refused and insisted to see a specialist.  Then with the GL I went to see Dr Surendra. Alhamdulillah, Dr Surendra explained the problem and procedure very professionally unlike the doctor at the panel clinic.

In shaa Allah, surgery scheduled tomorrow at 9.30am.

Iftar with Family

(Khairulzaman took these photos using his new mobile)

(Medina being fed lunch by her papa before 'balik kampong for Iftar. 😀)

The contractor came this morning to replace our toilet with a new one.  It uses hydraulic when covering the toilet seat after use. Heheee.... It also has a foot stool to put both feet when using the w.c. as though we are squatting when using it. Hahahaa.....

Anyway all my children and cucus 'balik kampong' to have Iftar with us.  It was funny when I heard the balik kampong coming from kak ngah.  Her house is so close to us and took her and family hardly five minutes to arrive.  Balik kampong indeed.😄 😍

Medina's First Spoonfed

Nekliz babysit Medina again today.  She woke up, again at 9.30am.  Then I bathe her and bottle-fed her (her Mak's stored breastmilk).  As usual Medina loves bathing.  I put her in the huge laundry basin (no tub, tub left at Mak's house) because the bathroom sink could no longer accommodate her. She's getting chubbier and heavier. Alhamdulillah. After finishing her milk, I put her in the stroller (a present when Sofiyah was a baby) now almost twenty years and still looking good. I then pushed her around the neighbourhood.  It was almost fifteen minutes before eleven o'clock, so we returned home.  Not healthy to be outdoors between 11am to 3pm.

I had a lot of ironing to do, so I put Medina on the huge cushion and gave her, her chewing toys, turned on the television to watch CNA whilst doing the ironing.  Once a while I would pick her up and played with her.

Then her uncle Khairulzaman came and played with her.  Uncle Khairulzaman leaving for work yet have time to play with his adorable niece.

Medina's Mak then arrived from work (she took half day leave) to feed Medina for the first time.  Her first solid food.  Mak prepared the blended Avocado for Medina.  Nekliz had the honour of feeding her first. Actually her Mak don't know how to feed her first time.  So I taught Mak how to feed Medina. Alhamdulillah she loves the Avocado.  Mak said three days Avocado, followed by Brocolli, carrots, potatoes etc.  When Medina's Mak was a baby, Nekliz fed her tepung beras boiled over slow fire only.  😀😀😀

Morning before Voting PRU 14

Kak ngah and family stayed overnight at our abode. So this morning before I left for Seremban to vote PRU 14, I played with Medina after filling the mini pool with water. I think she enjoys it but looking at the pictures her Mak took, she hardly smiles. Hahahhaha......

In the evening it was grandson's turn at the pool. But I was not around to watch and play with him. So sorry Muhammad Zavian. Nekliz still in Seremban.
