Whilst in Tanjong Malim we came across this unique restaurant called Sarang Art Hub.
Hubby and I had lempeng kelapa with sambal tumis for tea. Soooo sedappp.
The restaurant's deco is full of antiques especially during the sixties era. They even played music from that era too.
I could not help trying out the drums, of course with the owner's permission. 😁😁😁
In the small town itself there were street arts along its back lane. Nice.
After sending Sofiyah to work, I booked Grab again to KL Central. Since there was no train to Tanjong Malim from KL Central I took the train to Sg Buloh, but I disembark at KL Railway station to wait for the Tanjong Malim train instead.
When I arrived at Tanjong Malim station, it was almost Maghrib and time to break fast. So I bought a mug of hot Milo and a red bean pau for iftar. Alhamdullillah.
Hubby arrived as soon as I finished my Milo and pau. He then took me to Restaurant Perahu Pecah where we had our dinner. It was funny when hubby told the waitress to inform the chef not to add Ajinomoto to our ordered dishes. 😆😆😆
After dinner we checked into Hotel Summit Signature for our stay at Slim River.
Khairul and Sofiyah sent me to KL Central to catch the 2.45 ETS to Slim River. But when I wanted to purchase the ticket at KTM counter, the clerk informed me the train scheduled has changed. ETS to Slim River now at 4pm. 😒
So I took the Commuter to Tg Malim instead. The train was almost void of passengers when I arrived at the Tg Malim train station Then from the train station I took a cab to the hotel at Slim River. The journey took about half an hour. Alhamdullillah.
I had breakfast at one of the two Malay restaurants near the hotel we stayed. There was not much to choose from until I saw Nasi Kerabu on their menu. Yummy!
Suddenly the aroma of roti prata hot from the pan caught my attention. So I ordered a piece of roti prata. When it was served with curry and sambal, I ate it immediately. Double Yummy!!
Whilst eating the prata halfway....came the nasi kerabu I ordered. So....wallop the prata until finished and then ate the Nasi Kerabu. Triple yummy!!!
When hubby called to inform we may have to stay one more night, I went to a Muslimah boutique and bought a simple blouse. I dislike wearing recycled clothes when I travel.
Then when hubby returned in the evening he told me we had to return to Kajang after dinner. We had our dinner at Perahu Pecah, a seafood restaurant besides Shell petrol station.
This time when I drove home, hubby was silent. How come? He was fast asleep and snored too. Haaahahha......
Alhamdullillah we reached home just before midnight.
