Rice Cases

Rice cases?? What is it?? Well, it seems these are containers whereby it is used for a savouring filling. Meaning, maybe we could fill it with sambal ikan bilis, or epok-epok fillings... Well, would love to try it out though... perhaps..

3 cups cooked rice
1 egg
2 tbsp plain flour
1/2 tsp salt

Lightly grease the sides and base of tart moulds.

Mix egg and flour in a mixing bowl. Add rice and salt. Stir until well combined.

Using wet hands press the rice mixture evenly over the base and sides of the individual tart cases. Arrange them on a baking tray. Bake in preheated oven at 180 degrees C for 10-15 minutes or until golden and firm to the touch. Carefully remove the rice cases from the tart moulds while still warm and leave aside to cool completely.
