This morning the whole family woke up early and after solat fajr we got ready for kak ngah's nikah ceremony.
The photo and video crew from Skoodeng arrived early too. So did the make-up artist who came and went straight to kak ngah's room to 'sweetify' kak ngah. Kak ngah...my second daughter will be A lawfully wedded wife this morning.
Kak ngah....my talkative funny daughter with her mood swings and the sweet mole on her pretty face....will be a wife to her fiancee Mohamad Aminuddin anytime now.....
Our guests started to arrive from nine o'clock... They were mostly my neighbours, in-laws, relatives and close friends.
Then sharp at nine thirty...the groom and his entourage arrived. They brought along seven trays of gifts for the bride. The imam, Tuan Haji Fazry arrived half an hour later.
My parents and siblings arrived a few minutes later. I was so happy that they all came. After transferring mak from the car to wheelchair, dear hubby helped push her into our house.
Then when mak and abah were comfortably seated, the nikah ceremony began. First the welcome speech by Tuan Haji Dr Harun Budin, our Taman's chairman. Then the acceptance speech on the groom's side followed by the exchanging of wedding gifts. Five from the groom for the bride and seven from the bride for the groom.
Dear hubby solemnised the marriage between Kak ngah and Mohamad Aminuddin. He practiced the akad nikah with the groom first just in case hubby forgot the wordings....hehheehe.....
Alhamdullilah with a single lafaz..kak ngah is now the wife of Mohamad Aminuddin.
