Antique furniture at Rengit flea market

Hubby and I were on our way to Singapore to attend my bff, Salmah Awang's younger son's wedding.  Since we were driving southwards, hubby suggested that we visit Rengit town's flea market.

When we arrived at Rengit town, we could not find the flea market, so we stopped at Petronas petrol station to ask for directions.  We had missed the junction to the flea market, thus we had to make a U-turn after the traffic lights in front of Petronas.

Once we found the road to the flea market, we were surprised to find stalls selling almost the same used merchandise....e.g baby prams and strollers, bicycles, refrigerators, washing machines, rice cookers, household furniture. None of these interests us, until we came across this dilapidated shop lot by the roadside.  The shop was full of antique furniture.

We then bought a set of dining table, a day bed and a cupboard.  The shop assistant then suggested that we visited their factory where there are more antiques to choose from. Indeed there were.

So we bought another six pieces of kopitiam chairs, a coffee table with four pieces of armchairs (60s style), and a food cupboard. All these will be delivered to Rumah Liza once refurbished, In shaa Allah.
