Penang.....here we come....

We left home after saying goodbye to Badruzzaman who also left for work this morning.  Wahiduzzaman drove with hubby being the co-driver.  Sofiyah and I sat behind them.

I dozed off from Shah Alam onwards and only awoke when we reached Tanjong Malim toll plaza. Luckily hubby decided to stop for breakfast at a Nasi Lemak stall by the roadside towards Tanjong Malim town. I was also hungry by then.

I had mee rebus, hubby had nasi lemak, Wahid had roti canai telur whilst Sofiyah had plain roti canai.  While waiting for the mee rebus, hubby bought a few pieces of kuehs.  The pulut panggang was delicious.  I walloped seven pieces...but of course the pulut panggang was half the normal size sold at pasar malam.

After breakfast we went to Sungai Bill where hubby had a site meeting with the contractor involved in renovation works.  So while waiting for hubby to finish his meeting, Sofiyah and I lepak by the river whilst Wahid nap in our car.

Then, we continued our journey to Penang after hubby's meeting.  We stopped for lunch and prayers at R &R Kuala Kangsar. The R & R  were very crowded with visitors heading north.

I was searching for hubby after having my lunch when I saw him bargaining with the orang asli lady manning her booth.  Hubby wanted to buy walking sticks.  He bought two when I too wanted one.  Hehee....

We finally reached Butterworth ferry terminal. We boarded the ferry heading for Penang.  It was a smooth journey Alhamdullilah.

We checked into Holiday Inn Batu Ferringhi and informed Khairulzaman we have arrived.  He told us he could only join us Friday evening since he has assignments to complete and his practical at the Penang Hospital.

After our solat we went looking for a restaurant serving local dishes.  Hubby did not follow us instead he wanted us to tapau nasi goring kampung beef for him.

So the three of us walked along Ferringghi Road and saw this Wahida Seafood Restaurant serving local and Thai dishes.

After dinner, since it was a long walk to the hotel, we hired a trishaw to take us there.  It was a thrilling journey too.
