Tok chu Siti binti Ahmad

I attended Tilawah and Tajweed class this morning at Masjid Kajang after a month long absence.  Hubby sent me to the Masjid.  In my hurry to get to class I forgot to bring along the door gifts now left in the car for my classmates.

At 9.15am hubby called to inform me that he and brother Burn (abang Bakar) together with his wife kak Pah, were waiting for me at the car park.

I excused myself and hurriedly went to the car park.  Bro Burn was driving us to Jementah Segamat Johor.  He wanted to bring hubby to meet his friend who wanted to sell his goats at his livestock farm in Jementah.

When we reached Tangkak we had our breakfast of Mee Bandung Muar at the food court near the bus terminal.  Then we drove to Jementah

When we reached Kak Pah's late mother's house, we were welcomed by Tok Chu Siti, kak Pah's aunty.  She is a sweet old lady and I like her instantly.  Bro Burn and hubby then left for the farm with an escort Mr Ah Seong.

So I chatted with Tok Chu Siti and kak Pah while waiting for hubby and bro Burn.  Tok Chu Siti is seventy eight years old.  She teaches Quran and Tajweed to the village children. She also has a certificate when she completed her Quran and Tajweed course at the Masjid Jementah near her abode. Amazingly she does not wear spectacles.  She said her eye sight is still very good.  She can read and write without using spectacles.  And I was so impress when kak Pah told me Tok Chu kept a journal and record names and time of her visitors.  AND....all written in JAWI.... Subhanallah.

When hubby and bro Burn returned we all left for Segamat town for our lunch.  Bro Burn took us to Restoren Nasir near Jackel textile.  Bro Burn said this restaurant serves the best Udang Galah masak lemak cili api.  Indeed it does.....the dish is marvellous....

We then returned to Kak Pah's house and had our solat jamak zohor and asar.  Then Kak Pah serves us tea and pulut panggang and a few other kuehs.  The pulut panggang were delicious.

We finally left for Kajang after bidding farewell to Tok Chu Siti. In shaa Allah I hope to meet her again one day soon.
