DIY curtains, eight completed....

The above pictures says it all.....

I was at Rumah Liza the whole day yesterday, sewing the window curtains, and have completed all the eight windows at the 'serambi'.  Bahar, our worker from Lombok helped me with the wires to hang the curtains

So, In shaa Allah, I have yet to sew the curtains for the small bedroom and the 'rumah tengah' or rather 'rumah indok'.  The curtains for the kitchen will be the finale, hehehe....  I then realized there is a lot of leftover curtains......hmmm, wonder what to do with it all...

Hukum Agama disampaikan melalui mimpi?

HUKUM AGAMA DISAMPAIKAN MELALUI MIMPI?

Setelah Bilal melaungkan lafaz Azan, Umar al-Khattab terkejut lalu keluar bertemu Rasulullah dan mengakui mendengar lafaz yg sama dlm mimpinya (Sunan al-Darimi, Sunan Ibn Majah, Sahih Ibn Hibban).

DIY curtains

Last weekend, I was looking for the comforter which Sofiyah always use when her friend came for a sleep over, and I found a strange looking bundle in one of the shelves in my walk in wardrobe.  When I opened it, I found several pieces of curtains.  The curtains were the ones my daughter used when she was staying at the Sekolah Menengah Teknik Shah Alam's hostel for girls.  Siti Ayeshah was in Form four when she requested that I sponsored window curtains for her dormitory.  So, I hired Rose, my good friend, to sew it for her.

Since the curtains were still in good condition, I decided to do a little alteration and sewed for my Rumah Liza windows....  I managed to sew three pieces over the weekend, Alhamdullilah. Five more pieces to go for the windows at the serambi of Rumah Liza.  There are eight windows altogether.  The rumah tengah has two windows, whilst the small bedroom also has two windows and a very tiny window (I have yet to decide whether to put a curtain there).  Then three more curtains for the three windows in the kitchen.  I hope the recycled curtains are enough for all the windows, In shaa Allah.

Lovey dovey...

Selfy

Muhammad at 5 months today

Muhammad is now five months old.  Alhamdullilah, he's healthier and chubbier.  He could also lie on his tummy, head held high.....but, he still could not turn
over on his back by himself, needs his nekliz (me) to turn him.

While his mom was helping me peel onions in the kitchen, I took Muhammad to my room and played with him till he fell asleep.  I also took a picture while he was having his afternoon nap on my bed.

Eid Mubarak - 6th Syawal 1434

(the medicine for my tummy ache and diarrhoea)

(Porridge for lunch and dinner)

When my family and I visited my uncle (Pak Long, my mum's edlest brother), on the third day Syawal (August 10) my aunty (Mak Teh, my mum's elder sister) was also at his house  My uncle lives in Desa Jaya, Kepong.  My aunty informed me that her eldest son, my cousin, was admitted to Hospital Tuanku Bainun in Ipoh Perak.  According to my aunty, Along Enoi (Zainal Ariffin Zainuddin) was diagnosed with Leukemia.  I was shocked when I heard the bad news.

When I first returned to Seremban (my hometown) from Singapore (where I was brought up for sixteen years), and Kuala Lumpur (the big city) was unfamiliar to me, Along Enoi and Along Man (Hj Azman bin Hj Adnan) were my cousins who took me shopping and sightseeing in Kuala Lumpur.  I was waiting for my GCE results, and Mak Teh invited me to stay with her for a few days at her house, also in Desa Jaya kepong.

Along Enoi and Along Man took me window shopping at Pertama Complex and then to Panggung Anniversary to watch a rock concert.  The concert was in the afternoon.  After the concert, we took the mini bus to return to Desa Jaya, Kepong.  In the bus, Along Enoi managed to snatch the diary which I was carrying (those days, it was a trend to carry a diary instead of a handbag) and he and Along Man saw a photo of my pen-pal (now my hubby).  Then, they teased me all the way home....

So, last Tuesday (August 13), my hubby and two of my children (Khairulzaman and Sofiyah) and I visited Along Enoi at the Tuanku Bainun Hospital in Ipoh. Along Enoi was at 7th floor, Ward 7A Bed 37.  His wife, Kak Izan was looking after him at the hospital.  I hope and pray Along Enoi will get better and healthier, Amiin.

We then had our solat at the mosque near the hospital.  Then, we checked in at Hotel Seri Malaysia for the night.  We called Wahiduzzaman to join us for dinner.  He met us at the hotel and we then had dinner at a restaurant in Ipoh.  Wahid was having his final exam, and his last paper was on Thursday.  After dinner, we returned to the hotel and Wahid too returned to his rented house in Gunung Rapat.

It was during the wee hours Wednesday that I suddenly woke up and vomitted twice during the night and also had diarrhoea.  Hubby then took me to KPJ Ipoh Specialist Hospital EO.  I was to be admitted, but hubby said we were returning to Kuala Lumpur that Wednesday morning. So, the doctor prescribed the above medicines, and if I was still unwell, to go straight to KPJ Kajang for admission.

So, when we reached home Wednesday afternoon, I slept the whole day and throughout the night, waking up only to do my solat.  I woke up Thursday morning, feeling much better, and did my household chores, cooked lunch, including the above porridge.  After lunch and solat zuhur, I did ironing.  Alhamdullilah, I am feeling much better now.
